Component Integration Product Team Lead (CIPT)

Essential Job Functions
QuEST is seeking an individual to join our team; the candidate will be responsible for Component Integration Product Team Lead (CIPT) The CIPT will support product introductions for Aerospace mechanical design They will also be managing Earned Value Metrics EVMS of projects and using Microsoft Project As part of a QuEST team the candidate will use a combination of fellow team mate and individual skill to provide excellent service to the customers

Responsibilities include
Drive team performance through planning, coordinating, exhibiting excellent leadership and communications
Maintain/develop project engineering schedule and milestones
Collaborate with Program Management, Operations, Purchasing and Engineering resources to assure full team success from requirements development through product realization
Develop and execute plans necessary to meet Key Engineering (UPI) and customer Milestones (Design Reviews, Drawing release, Test planning, Test Support, Test reports) Efforts will include work scope management, addressing RFQs, customer interface and action item closure and schedule adherence
Risk identification and mitigation
Utilize Standard Work Tool to support processes management
Create and monitor key metrics (cost, quality, schedule) and implement appropriate corrective actions to mitigate undesirable trends
Support Program Manager and SIPT lead with development, justification and management of the annual budget, including identification of the necessary resource loading
Maintain a high level of customer and quality focus
Effective written communications and oral status reports to internal and external customers
Progress tracking, positive influence of employees working to a schedule and milestone reporting are key elements of EVMS responsibilities
Collect and analyze data to evaluate processes used to accept, allocate, and utilize manpower, and make suggestions to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction
Maintain EVMS logs Analyze data and suggest possible problem areas for schedule
Complete look ahead Manpower forecasts and document plans to support the workload
Develop corrective action plans for unexpected variances
Run Performance Index Reports (PIR) to validate charge number rollup
Create/prepare program review EV and manpower specific charts
Conduct Variance Analysis Reporting (VAR) by assembling cost/schedule performance data for CAM to address with reasons and recovery plans
Data interpretation/conversion
Complete/update Estimates At Completion (EAC)
Utilize critical path analysis in Microsoft Project to create actions that improve schedule and cost savings

A minimum of 5 years of engineering work experience Project management experience a plus
Must have some experience working in aerospace and familiarity of industry design standards, such as ARP-4754, RTCA DO-254, DO-178, DO-160, Conformity per FAA Order 81104C, etc
Possess excellent project management skills PMI certification level preferred OR
Previous experience managing engineering schedule(s) for a development program in the aerospace industry
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships on all levels (engineer, management, senior levels of engineering, finance, customer, etc)
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools are required Microsoft Project desired
Financial internship/On the job experience

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Mostly Office Environments Occasional Shop Floor involvement
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations
Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
