Cloud Database Audit/Detection Product Manager - 19000C7C

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle Database Security organization is looking for an experienced, technical Product Manager to join the team supporting Oracles database security offerings with auditing, reporting and alerting functionality Prior product experience with products for log management, compliance reporting, anomaly detection, and/or machine learning is a plus Responsibilities will include management of cloud security products and features for the Oracle Database This is a minimal travel position with mix of inbound and outbound PM activities It will be very hands-on with the products, involving close collaboration with product engineering, QA, and documentation The PM also will engage with sales engineering, customer support, training curriculum, and other internal teams

Specific functions include

Drive product strategy for cloud-based database audit and activity monitoring technologies such as audit collection, reporting, alert management and database firewall functionalities

Work with the product team to develop user stories, UI mock-ups; solicit and analyze user feedback

Prepare content for core go-to-market tools including sales presentations, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQs and competitive sales guides

Represent the products with training and presentations to the Oracle field and customers

Desired skills

Demonstrated experience with relational database technologies; Oracle experience strongly preferred

Experience managing a product for database activity monitoring, auditing and compliance

Previous experience as a product manager for datacenter cloud products

Excellent writing and presentation skills

University degree in engineering or computer science; MBA preferred

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture Define project needs Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans Review integration and regression plans created by QA Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience
