Are you interested in being part of the digital transformation journey of our customers across Australia Your role will be to help create and refine customer solutions leveraging Oracles Cloud, open doors into new conversations and facilitate sales opportunities across key areas of the Cloud including Autonomous Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) This role will be part of the Australian Solution Engineering team


1) We deliver Solution Engineering / Consulting (Presales) Services to our customers with an aim to show our customers the benefits of the Oracle Cloud We work with Oracle sales representatives, hub-based solution engineers and partners to drive the sales of Oracle Cloud Platform (PaaS & IaaS) solutions

2) We provide presales support to grow Oracles Cloud Platform (PaaS & IaaS) business around Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Cyber Security, Analytics, Data Management Next-Gen Application Development and many other exciting technology trends that interest us all

In short, we aspire to build and sell new and innovative technology solutions for real world problems that our customers face And so, we are seeking people who share that spirit of using and selling technology to innovate and solve complex business problems using Oracle Cloud Platform


As a solution engineer, you will get a unique opportunity to blend your technical skills on cloud with analytical problem-solving and consultative selling skills You will be expected to work directly with customers and members of the sales team on key selling activities including (but not limited to)

Business development aimed at building momentum around Oracles Cloud Services go-to-market

Regional salesforce knowledge sessions and workshops for key targets

Discovery of the customer problems

Solution Design & Architecture

Proposal Preparation

Building Repeatable Cloud Solution Demonstrations

Performing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Technology (POTs) with clients, this includes engagement with off-shore technical staff


Your core responsibility will be to understand customers business problems and help them use Oracle Cloud Services to solve them You will be required to prepare, practice, evangelize and advocate usage of Oracle cloud services to customers & partners You will have opportunities to engage with a variety of customers from various sectors and industries (eg Telecommunications, Retail, Banking, Healthcare, Energy, Automotive, Government and many others) As part of our customers cloud adoption cycle, you will be expected to

Deliver customer presentations & demos highlighting the value of Oracles Cloud solution addressing customers requirements

Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise in Oracle PaaS and IaaS Services

Develop customer-specific value propositions highlighting benefits and differentiators of Oracle

Build and deliver compelling customer demonstrations, proof of concepts and proof of technologies to contribute to customer success

Represent Oracle at online technology marketing and broader social community events

Collaborate on customer opportunities with Oracle Sales, Sales Consulting and Product Management communities

Technology Skills

Deep understanding of Public Cloud Solutions & IT market trends driving cloud demand such as Digital Experience, Content Management, Next-Gen Application Development, Security & Manageability, Enterprise Integration & APIs, Content Management & UX etc

Understanding of Cloud Solution Design and Architectures

Experience of hands-on work with any industry leading Cloud solution provider

Experience of developing, deploying or migrating business applications to cloud

Fundamental understanding of DevOps would be an advantage

Knowledge of Oracle technology solution (database and middleware) would be an advantage

Experience of a customer facing role (eg presales or technical support role) would be an advantage

Customer Engagement Skills

Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex messages very clearly Story teller

Customer centric Wouldnt be satisfied until the job is done to the right quality for our customers

Ability to work in virtual teams To get a specific job done can require working together with many colleagues, partners and customers
