Essential Functions
This resource will have extensive planning and communication skills along with technical skills enabling to be self-sufficient and successful troubleshooting, decommissioning process/inventory, along with Operations and administrative tasks assisting a Client Engineering SME
Resource must be proficient in implementing and troubleshooting SCCM site server roles in a hierarchy configuration (ie SCCM site system servers such as distribution points, management points, software update points), reporting services and have experience with cloud integration into Azure as well
Roles and Responsibilities

Support Client Engineering projects
Incident management, tracking & solution for any issues related to Client Engineering Solutions via ServiceNow
Experience in implementing new process and procedures within an environment Ability to make decisions based on experience to drive forward with digital transformation
Contribute to and maintain system standards within the SCCM infrastructure environment
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time, tackling both urgent technical issues and longer-term project deliverables
Participate in building a robust knowledge base, authoring content, maintaining existing content and promoting the use of self-service to employees
Third level escalation support to technical support teams
Build SCCM Servers and configure them to Thermo Fisher Scientific standards
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues related to Windows Server and SCCM
Generate reports based on report requirements from multiple different data sources
Ability to support a large number of in-house, proprietary programs from troubleshooting to installation
Capability to research problems, determine solutions, and create procedures to prevent repeat of issues
Must be able to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints within a timely fashion
Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours (evenings\weekends) to support customers global presence with little to no notice, as well as participate in the 24x7 on-call pager rotation, responding to alerts from our Global Command Center or Major Incident Managers for issues within their scope
Responsible for scripting to enable automation for repeatable tasks within the environment utilizing PowerShell

Knowledge/Skills Designing, Planning, and Implementing System Center Configuration Manager including Hierarchy and site system roles
Creating and managing Boundary Groups across one or more Distribution Points
General monitoring of site health via SSRS, log files, and the SCCM console
Assist in Upgrades, including In-Console Upgrades and Client Agent Upgrades
Manage and configure User and Device collections; Creating query-based collections, Configuring Site Collection Maintenance Windows
Creating Distribution Points and distributing content accordingly
Deployment of Applications and Software Updates including Creating and deploying applications with user device affinity, compliance settings, Software Center and task sequencing
Monitoring updates via Automatic Deployment Rules (ADR), Update Groups, Deployment packages, and other methods
Reporting on the success or failure of Application deployments

Management of Compliance Settings by creating and importing Configuration Items (CI)
Deploy Client Management agents
Manage clients using Group Policy, WSUS, logon scripts, Client Push, etc

Troubleshoot issues related to client health
Create, modify, and produce custom reporting as needed
Work with in-house teams as well as technology and strategic vendors

Experience with Windows 7, 10, Server 2012 and 2016
Active Directory
System Center Configuration Management (SCCM)
PowerShell Scripting required
SQL/XML/VB Language Experience
Power BI
Microsoft Office 2013, 2016 and O365
Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS a plus

Qualifications Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, management information systems, or a related field
5 years of experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) design, architecture and implementation
Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills

All candidates must be able to speak clearly and communicate effectively both verbally as well as in a written format (Email, Reports, etc) Prior experience in either leading or supporting one or more SCCM implementation projects is essential in addition to being a technical expert with a good understanding of how to manage or assist in managing projects
