Business Development Officer


The channel (Dealers, Processors, retailers) is looking at creating demand for the brand and giving them the business/orders The customers are willing and giving business to companies that are doing this job for them SGG has been a leader in this space and has been the most active followed by  is also following the same pattern


We have a good presence in trade and processors with clean accounting and known for quality We are not known as a company who has a presence in the specification space and supporting the network with business

 Now with the basket being competed with material from parent company we are in a position to leverage the strength of SFG as a (Global player, Europe no 1, Range,Aggressive player, Solution provider etc)

Brand building activities will take time and the ATL,BTL has to be supported by FOS (Feet on street)—Business development Officer (BDO)

The Role of BDO

  • He would be meeting the end customers, builders/developers, fabricators, interior designers, architects etc and pitching SFG India along with its products (The complete range –clear, mirror, frosted, ultra-clear, tinted, reflective, Low-e etc)

  • He will close the leads on his own or with the assistance of ASM(Trade) and pass the business to our aligned customers

  • For the bigger customers he will generate the data (Developer name, Project size, Products, Quantum, Architect, Façade consultant etc) and pass the leads to the specification team

  • The benefits are as follows -

    1. Take SFG and what it can do to the lowest denominator (End customer, Specifier)

    2. Protect our aligned customers and support them with business

    3. Command a better price (Up sell)

    4. Create demand for complete range and move away from being known as only clear glass Manufacturer Company

    5. Increase sales in the core markets

  • This position work will help us in preparing the co to take the next level as that of a solution provider

  • KRA

    1. Generate 15-20 orders per month

    2. Value of business 25 lakhs/month

    3. Do the ground work for specification/actual specification on smaller projects

    In markets that are smaller geographically we would be reworking the job role of the existingThe markets where this would be done are as follows -

    1. Vadodara

    2. Ahmedabad

    3. Rajkot

    4. Aurangabad

    The locations where contractual manpower (6 no’s) is being proposed are as follows -

    1. Surat

    2. Pune

    3. Jaipur

    4. Gurgaon

    5. Delhi

    6. Mumbai

    Profile of the role -

    We are proposing to outsource the manpower to a third party/contract it out The period of appointment would be for 1+1=2 years The background of the person should be as follows

    1. Graduate/MBA from tier 2 institute

    2. Good communication skills

    3. Extrovert

    4. Should be local

    5. Should have a 2 wheeler and a driving licenses

    6. Terms of Employment would be Contractual with provision to extend for period of one year

     SFG India will impart product training on all the products and equip him with marketing tools like brochures / samples and specification related material
