Schneider Electric is seeking a dynamic, experienced Business Development Manager for a Key Market to help developing strategic partnerships and innovative solutions with OEM and SI inside the General Motion market The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building and maintaining relationships, and providing the appropriate Schneider Electric solutions to meet the customers business needs Your primary focus will be OEMs and SI belonging to the motion world Particular focus will be requested to develop innovative solution that involve motion controllers and robotic applications The BDM will need to empower the knowledge on products, applications, solutions for OEMs and the market experience to act as a consultant and technical sales resource for our customers regarding their present and future needs

Demonstrated experience and success within a team selling environment is a must Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to build executive level relationships, align solutions and business strategies, and create the demand to close orders

This position reports to the Director of the Motion Competency Center


Key Responsibilities to include

New business development via prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing

Managing customer relationship through all phases of the sales cycle

Tracking customer information, forecasts, and reports

Developing and maintaining prospect and customer lists based on strategic marketing data and other sales lead sources through our CRM system

Applying knowledge of Schneider Electrics products and solutions, multiple business units, pricing strategies, competition, and sales and marketing objectives to drive success


Strong knowledge of control & automation, solutions and services

7-10 years experience in field sales, preferably within the OEM Segment

Strong understanding of OEMs industry specific issues and technology

Experience in selling PLCs, Motion Controllers and Robotics

Has a current/possible customer portfolio ready to engage

Analytical skill set with strong presentation skills and the ability to interact at any level within an organization

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Autonomous, entrepreneurial, and team oriented

Have a passion for sales and winning in a highly competitive market
