General Summary

This position is responsible for promoting, developing, and selling Minerals services by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with potential customers

Essential Job Accountabilities

1 Execute business development action plans for defined targets to ensure region growth goals are attained

2 Develop and identify prospects from current clients, referrals, leads, and other sources to make sure goals are achieved

3 Prepare and issue reports on prospect pipeline, current sales, forecasts, and market trends so that regional operations can effectively grow their businesses

4 Plan and attend industry trade and convention shows to generate leads for future business

5 Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic marketing plan, department sales objectives, and individual sales plans to ensure goals are met

6 Provide input on issues relevant to client programs, work in progress, marketing initiatives and sales assistance to ensure strong client relationships

7 Coordinate with Estimating team to identify key strategic partners to ensure competitive bid process

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Construction or Civil Engineering, preferred

Work Experience

7 to 10 industry experience
Minimum 3 years business development experience

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Knowledge of materials and construction sales practices
Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information
Ability to generate leads and close deals
Public speaking and presentation skills a must
