Business Analyst Supply Chain Management

The position entails the analysis and segmentation of market and customer data to provide fact-based recommendations to focus our SCM go to market efforts It also will include analysis of revenue and customer acquisition results across product areas to prepare for quarterly business reviews The ideal candidate will have experience with business software, intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills

Team Description

Oracle Supply Chain Management Cloud product marketing team defines the go-to-market, messaging and positioning for the disciplines of Product Lifecycle Management, Planning and Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Logistics and Procurement for the Oracle Cloud Business Group Product Marketing works collaboratively with several organizations across the company to define the appropriate marketing mix, strategy and execution of global go-to-market initiatives Key activities include market analysis, message creation, creating presentations and white papers, web copy, sales enablement and social media outreach and executing on a structured approach to selling that empowers all global sales teams to achieve revenue targets

Responsibilities

Identify ways to grow SCM and Oracle cloud revenue by studying customer, market and competitive data
Conduct and coordinate product, market, operational and related research to segment and prioritize install base and net new market opportunities
Validate hypotheses and recommendations through call-downs, including conversations with field sales, sales engineers and sales management
Prepare and present recommendations by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
Prepare and summarize financial performance information across product areas to identify trends, patterns and prepare for quarterly business reviews
Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Microsoft Excel expertise required; Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred
Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
Ability to work independently and with others
Extremely organized with strong time-management skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines Maintains current status of customer needs for existing and future products Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources Measure and report progress and review deliverables

Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and procedures Demonstrated product/project management experience Excellent written and verbal communication Self starter Team player Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications Practical experience using the Internet Typically graduate or equivalent with 0 - 2 year marketing experience
