Job Advert China becomes the single biggest growth country to Lubricants Business and also the biggest gross margin growth contributors and lead market on Cars Independent Workshop (IWS) growth Cars IWS channel alone is expected to deliver more than $200M of gross margin growth by 2020 Such growth requires a clear competitive strategy and deliverables on i) building distinctive brands and ii) innovation on product and offer to keep up with the trend for Castrol as a thought leader

This position reports to the Marketing Director of Greater China, is a member of China Marketing Leadership team, Extended Marketing Leadership Team of Greater China

This position leads a team of diverse accountabilities includes product brand portfolio management, developing innovative product launch, communication and activations (digital/media/sponsorship) that deliver brand equity, volume, turnover and gross margin targets

With China as the single biggest growth country to Lubricants Business and also the biggest gross margin growth contributors and lead market on Cars power brands (60 PERCENT of growth from China on Cars) with Castrol EDGE, MAGNATEC and GTX The individual will be part of the Brand & Comms Network, MAGNATEC Network, GTX Network and with team members in EDGE Network, work closely with the Offer Development Team and Functional Excellence team in Marketing (ie marketing members with global remit) to ensure specific China insights are fed into the global pipeline

The job holder will also be a key active member to Greater China Marketing Director on providing ideas and inputs to help shape and refine the growth strategy on choices and competitiveness in the brand building activation, media plan & buy choice, communication and PR engagement strategy and product portfolio management and innovation, and organisation/ capabilities transformation required to deliver the strategic deliverables

The role will also be responsible for building world class marketing capability in the Brand & Comms team to effectively deliver global brand, thought leadership on activation, digital, sponsorship, media, PR programs and product innovation in China as well as contribute with innovative thinking at a global level

The role will have both strategic and operational responsibility for Brands & Comms in Greater China, involves adapting and adopting global offers, developing activities as appropriate and defining 24-month marketing plans
