Process Overview

Global Resource Management (GRM) team is accountable for managing complex vendor relationship providing IT & IT enabled services to Bank of America The team is responsible for the entire vendor life cycle maintaining relationships with vendor/s and Front Line Units (FLUs) who utilize the products/services to ensure contract compliance and process adherence to both enterprise and GRM specific requirements

Responsible for validating vendor compliance to technology, information security and business standards and requirements Participate in managing vendor relationships from a technology perspective garnering assurance that not only company information security standards and baselines are followed; but also technology policies and guidelines, including network architecture, firewall management, enterprise resiliency, physical and environmental security


Member of a team that manages the technical relationships of global service providers
Responsible for the day-to-day oversight of these service providers technology control environment by employing the Bank of America Global Information Security Standards and Baselines, Service Providers Security Requirements, technology policies and guidelines, network architecture and firewall management, global business continuity and resiliency and physical and environmental security
Proactively Identify issues and emerging risks and take swift action to resolve or escalate as appropriate
Support the business units in the development of corrective action plans for identified gaps and oversee execution to plans
Collaborate and build relationships with firms Architecture, CTO teams
Plan and coordinate the monthly review of service level performance; analyze monthly SLA / KPI metrics and take proactive and reactive actions on those indicators and run improvements
Act as the first point of contact for all service issues / escalations
Coordinate the execution of any technology driven initiatives for integration of service level management framework and automation of any associated data collection/analysis
Maintain a broad understanding of regional laws and regulatory requirements relating to information security and privacy, industry best practices, exposures, and their impact to the business
Provides technology based consulting regarding service providers for related internal projects, technology needs, information security, physical security and environmental security
Influences peers and senior management across lines of business to take action on complex, technical or sensitive topics that have significant enterprise wide impact
Facilitate cross functional communication and work efforts between Vendor Managers and Line of Business (LOB) stakeholders
Interact with other internal stakeholders, such as LOB/GCF, Audit, Compliance, and Risk to understand and enforce vendor adherence to standards and specification


Education BE/ B-Tech/MCA degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in the IT industry

Experience 15-18 yrs

Certifications Cisco Certification CCNA, CCDE, CCIE or CCA, Information Security certification CISSP, CISA or CISM

Mandatory Skills

10 years of experience in IT Services specifically around Infrastructure / Information Security
Knowledge of network architecture and firewall management
Leader with strong project/program management skills, problem solving and analytical abilities, Ability to communicate Technology & information security-related risks to a wide spectrum of technical and non-technical staff Written / verbal communication (framing and storytelling) skills, and interpersonal skills to interact with senior leaders
Strong relationship management skills, using key relationships to build trust/credibility and promote objectives
Ability to influence and work well with multiple business partners
Strategic thinker with rigorous follow-up techniques
Demonstrated success in leading and managing change and continuously evolving environments
Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods,Techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
Demonstrated results implementing practices and processes that drive accountability; willing to re-examine and adjust where necessary

Desired Skills

Experience working on or leading remote teams
Comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment
