Role

The role-holder along with the individuals team, will be accountable for efficient and accurate monitoring and control of the regulatory reporting process and for running a compliant calculation supporting the divisional Chief Financial Officers in their sign off

The individual will make sure that regulatory outputs are produced on an accurate and timely basis in line with SLAs, including preparation of templates, management Packs and ad hoc adjustments

What The Business Does

The RWA CoE is responsible for Anacredit submissions and other regulatory reporting analysis for the bank The AnaCredit Regulation outlines the collection of granular credit data based on harmonised ECB statistical reporting requirements, with a view to establishing a common granular credit database shared between the Eurosystem members and comprising input data for all euro area Member States

The team is accountable for efficient and accurate monitoring and control of the regulatory reporting process and for running a compliant calculation supporting the divisional Chief Financial Officers (CFO) in their sign off As specialists in this field the team is in a unique position to bridge both finance and risk disciplines in order to meet reporting obligations and support delivery of business The key customers of the team include the businesses, Risk, Regulatory Assurance and ultimately the regulator ( CBI)

Your Responsibilities

Ensure that regulatory outputs are produced on an accurate and timely basis in line with SLAs, including preparation of templates, management Packs and ad hoc adjustments
Preparation & reporting of Anacredit PhaseI,II & III templates for Ulster Legal entity including business commentary for stakeholder sign-off & submission to CBI regulators
Provide ad-hoc analysis and challenge as required to support management in regulatory decisions
Collaborating across teams & proactively highlighting & resolving data quality issues
Highlight and escalate relevant issues in a timely manner as per escalation Matrix
Support where franchises require analysis and commentary related to any of the regulatory data points
Ensure processes/outputs are updated to reflect required changes to reporting deliverables in response to mandatory or BAU project changes
Build a strong culture of continuous improvement within the team

The Skills That You Need

Identify essential and desirable technical knowledge required, including level of knowledge
Have a graduate degree such as Finance post-graduate, CA or MBA
4-5 years of regulatory or statutory reporting experience
Good Basel Regulatory reporting / risk parameters conceptual understanding
Ability to interpret ,analyse & derieve meaningful information from large datasets
Good communication skills and analytical skills
Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in financial industry/sector in Regulatory reporting
Knowledge of Basel II, Basel III, and Excel/AXIOM/SAS
Ability to understand and identify key issues from both summary and detailed data
Ability to understand and implement changes and communicate to various stakeholders
Identify essential and desirable experience that is relevant for the role (eg application or development of business systems or processes)
Have demonstrated a proven ability to identify and resolve issues
Have a business focused approach in terms of meeting regulatory requirements
Practical and reliable with the ability to break down complex problems into their core components and communicate the issues concisely
Able to work under pressure maintaining accuracy and meet tight deadlines
Prior experience of working in a globally distributed team in a leading bank
