Position Summary

The Associate Client Development Manager (CDM) will serve as part of the Americas National Sales organization and is responsible for helping future-Clients succeed by leading them on their Active Energy Management journey and working collaboratively with customers to develop Solutions and Business Cases focused on recurring energy management, data and reporting services This role will be based out of our Louisville, Kentucky office

The ideal candidate would be familiar with CRM tools such as Salesforcecom and possess strong consultative selling skills, with the proven ability to engage with influencers and decision makers to communicate the Schneider Electric value proposition around Active Energy Management

Additionally, you will research, define and target specific market segments as assigned to enable a high level of sales success with targeted clients and prospects Integrity, vision, passion and ability to excel in a collaborative sales environment are essential for this role

What do you get to do in this position

You will have the opportunity to shadow a Client Development Manager and become familiar with the various aspects of the Client Development team at ESS

Establish new business opportunities with targeted segments and accounts through prospecting, networking, qualifying and closing techniques

Prospecting and converting leads into profitable and ongoing business relationships

Working with Schneider Electrics portfolio of offerings to develop customized solutions that address the customers business needs

Understand customer long-term strategic business needs and increase level of contact higher and wider within customers organization to allow for selling of new opportunities

Effectively advise clients on Schneider Electrics software, services and product offerings

Lead the development of sales proposals Enlists the support of Sales Operations, implementation resources, delivery resources, and other sales and management resources as needed in response to RFPs

Negotiating and closing contracts for energy management related services

Collaboration with colleagues, including sales, marketing and operations teams, on ways to continuously improve offerings and go to market strategies

Work collaboratively with customers to develop Solutions and Business Cases that incorporate ESS Services including Schneiders award-winning Resource Advisor SaaMS offerings

Communicate and interact with business decision-makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements as well as market opportunities

Lead and move prospects through the sales cycle

Close an agreed upon number of sales and revenue per year

Maintain prospect (CRM Salesforcecom) database information Essential Skills and Qualifications

Mentorship / Shadowing Opportunities with existing team members

Solutions Architects lending sales support and guidance with subject matter expertise;

Sales Operations supporting the RFP development, pricing and the contracting process;

Inside Sales professionals supporting lead generation and appointment-setting efforts

Compensation - base salary plus commission

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required

This position is ideal for someone who has been successful in a related industry and/or sales position, and who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity to grow into a top performer with Schneider Electric This position enables the successful candidate to have a transition path and plan into a Client Development Manager position

Demonstrated experience selling professional services in the energy management industry to industrial and/or commercial clients; experience and knowledge from working within the energy, sustainability or environmental industry is preferred

Self-starter; able to rapidly comprehend client demands and Schneider Electric solutions, and to align the two to ensure sales performance at or above assigned levels

Proven track record of being successful in all elements of a consultative sales role

Ability and willingness to perform tasks related to lead generation, when needed, to fill the pipeline

Persistence in follow up of leads and movement of prospects through the sales cycle

Interfacing and presenting to all management levels at Fortune 500 companies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer literate in a Microsoft Office environment (ie Word, Excel, Outlook) and Salesforcecom CRM system

Travel required to support sales activity (15- 30 PERCENT )
