Job Description:

In this role the AVP is primarily responsible for ensuring that all new Client relationships have undergone the appropriate client identification and screening prior to establishing a new relationship and entering into banking transactions They will ensure that their team
Complies with global statutory and regulatory obligations
Complies with its own Group and Barclays Wealth/PCB policies; and
Minimises the risk of sanction breaches and
Minimises the risk to its reputation
They will be responsible for ensuring their teams meet the company s requirements regarding KYC policy, Anti-Money Laundering and reputational risk standards
They will provide leadership across teams responsible for the processing of Customer transactions and Client service delivery Managing and developing people to deliver outstanding Customer focused service, ensuring that all areas are focused on quality and quantity in equal focus & adhering to agreed policies, procedures, commercial and Customer practices The successful candidate should be a powerful, passionate advocate of Barclays values and principles to ensure that our team takes the lead in the delivery of service and provision of information to support the enduring purpose, delivering sustainable competitive advantage
What will you be doing
Operational Performance and Service
They will ensure all processes have appropriate and consistent measures in place and that all Key Risk and Quality Indicators evolve in line with the growth of the business Implement and continuously develop robust productivity and quality measures and set benchmarks so that all service level agreements are maintained or improved upon Lead & manage an appropriate service performance culture across the function

People Management
The individual will drive for team members to be ambassadors for the Barclays Values, creating a culture that delivers excellent Client-focused service within Wealth s policies and procedures Ensures Team Members have the correct training and tools to undertake duties to the highest standards, delivering a world class service to all Barclays Clients

Risk Management
They will ensure high standards of risk control within DSI, particularly concerning the On-boarding of Clients and Know your Customer policies across multiple Wealth Customer segments Relevant and effective controls are diligently applied and reviewed regularly Clear management information is used to report performance accurately and helps to diagnose issues Reports control issues and risk events in a timely and appropriate way and takes the necessary, proportionate remedial actions Supports all internal & external audit activity for functional area

Strategy, Business Management & Change
The individual will work with the Head of DSI to support the significant DSI Transformation Agenda with a particular focus on location strategy, including the management of On-boarding staff Design and delivery of a service improvement programme, including client focused process re-engineering, using LEAN Six-Sigma methodology Develop and implement new and innovative methods of working to constantly improve the level of service provided to clients across all customer segments and geographies

Relationship Management
They will m anage relationships with key stakeholders, including Internal Customers, Internal 3 rd party and External 3 rd Party Providers to ensure delivery of key service metrics and constantly develop performance to ensure the smooth running of the department

The role holder will have experience of managing teams for differing processes within an operational environment, ensuring the implementation and execution of all HR tasks, including, but not limited to, performance development and managing attendance They will have experience of creating, preparing and controlling the Management Information relating to the team and will have the ability to interact and communicate with staff at all levels They will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead a team, while motivating and developing their direct reports and the wider group The role holder will possess strong commercial and risk awareness

Skills that will help you in the role
Academic and professional qualifications
The role holder will be educated to a minimum of higher grade level or equivalent and ideally to degree level or equivalent Industry recognised qualifications are desirable
Language Skills

The role holder will have excellent command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills and will be able to communicate effectively across all levels
