Job Description:

Position Summary

The position will be responsible for the collation of data and information for various tax-related assessments and filing of monthly returns like GST, TDS, etc; handling all Direct and Indirect Tax Litigations, Appeals, etc The position will also be responsible for ensuring timely completion of all audits, assessments and compliance with other statutory requirements as listed in the responsibilities below


Ensure monthly payments of all statutory liabilities like TDS, PF, ESIC, GST, PT and other direct and indirect tax-related payments

Ensure timely filing of monthly/quarterly/annual tax returns and timely computation of Tax Advances and their payments

Liaise with tax auditors to complete transfer pricing compliance and audit

Responsible for filing returns of XBRL, corporate returns to MCA (ie MGT 1, etc)

Ensure Monthly reconciliation for GSTR 2 (GST Credit)

Ensure on-time board meetings to meet the requirements of the Company Act

Responsible for timely filling of Form 3CEB to meet the statutory requirements of Tax authorities

Coordinate smooth assessment of transfer pricing, direct and indirect tax

Support other functional teams such as Supply Chain, HR, Sales, etc on any tax-related matters, as required

Liaise with, maintain effective and strong relations with the tax authorities and other tax consultants

Risk and Insurance management - understand existing process workflows in the organization and suggest process improvements to mitigate risks; ensure smooth completion of Internal Finance Control audits

Ensure compliance with Company Law requirement by coordinating with the Company Secretary

Skills Required

Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Strong analytical skills

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Accounting Software

Working Knowledge of Direct tax, Indirect tax, Corporate Laws, Payroll laws and regulations

Ability to present/demonstrate the products successfully to the customers

Confident, energetic and has the appetite to work in an entrepreneurial environment and grow faster

Should maintain time discipline and strong work ethic

Should be responsive, organized and energetic

Possesses a high level of integrity and ownership of responsibilities

Shows high drive for results and execution excellence Follows up with stakeholders till the result is achieved

Develops partnerships, keeps stakeholders updated on progress of targets and activities on time

Educational Qualification and Experience

Charted Accountant

Company Secretarial experience will be added advantage

3 - 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment preferably in a multinational set up
