Job Description:

Looking for a strong SME with extensive knowledge of US taxation concepts and would be part of the Taxation Team

Responsibilities

- Ensure Taxation activities are completed as per time schedule

- Preparation of Property Tax return, assessment and payment Updating of new Property/Asset on the respective sites Retrieve Assessments from jurisdictions

- Preparation of Sales & Use Tax Returns, Compliance - Sales & Use Research, Audit Support, NEXUS Studies, Training

- Coordination with various departments & auditors in relation to Tax related matters

- Working on Tax preparation tools like Vertex for Sales Tax and PTMS for Property Tax Preparation of Indirect tax returns - VAT / GST /Property tax

- Review of Indirect tax liabilities and adherence to time schedule of tax payments

- Review of Direct tax liabilities and adherence to time schedule of tax payments

- Engage in Projects related to business initiatives

- Prepare data for monthly / quarterly / annual reviews

- Works with Legal Entity Controller/Business Controllers to clarify queries

- Interact with other department to obtain relevant information

- Responsible for updating Standard Operating Procedures

- Cross train team members on deliverables

- Identify and implement process improvements

- Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision

- Leading discussion with Client on process changes; deliverables schedule and Service delivery

- People management - Leading; Coach and mentor team of assigned resources

- Initiatives - identify simplification / transformation opportunity and leading implementation

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

- Experience in US Tax operations

- Understanding of US Sales Tax, Use Tax, Property Tax/ Direct tax / VAT / GST

- Exposure in Direct and Indirect tax calculations and Fillings of returns

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to learn ERP systems with preferable knowledge of SAP / S4 HANA, Vertex and PTMS

- Ability to communicate verbally and through e-mails with businesses

- Good conceptual knowledge

- Excellent MS Office skills including MS Excel

- Good Communication Skills & Ability to engage with Senior leadership
