As an Assistant Sales Manager, you are expected to locate in South India and be responsible for sales targets in the region covering both Infrared Pyrometers and Temperature Profiling system The focus of the role is to explore the business potential in the region and strongly drive growth in the sales revenue through direct or indirect channels by managing performance of the channels and directly targeting regional accounts for new or adjacent growth applications

In additional to manage the channel performance, you are expected to drive the hybrid sales and marketing activities in the region, develop and implement regional plans to meet quota/objectives, ability to pivot sales efforts to high grow applications/markets, establish data driven management and metrics utilizing FBS

The successful candidate for this role is expected to develop into increasingly significant Fluke or Fortive leadership roles with the sound record in the performance

Develop, implement, and manage a business plan to meet or exceed regional objectives and sales goals in assigned geography
Assess business conditions by geography and vertical market to modify local go to market strategy
Provide direction, training, coaching, and feedback to channels
Identify, evaluate, recommend and train new channels
Develop and implement strategy, goals and objectives
Provide National Sales Manager India with weekly reporting
Generate target list of large end-user customers to pursue Utilize CRM to identify, develop, and close large-scale sales opportunities with targeted end-users
Work closely with sales management and corporate staff to ensure coordination and cooperation in support of sales efforts, secure the positive business cycle in the order and shipment management
Leverage the Fortive Business System to drive lean improvement and profitable growth
Perform other related duties as assigned
Collect voice of customer, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Product teams to support new product development and resolution of outstanding issues sustainably Prioritize and execute sustained issue resolution SW


5 years of progressive experience, preferably for tech-based companies selling in B2B services
A proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced changing environment requiring creativity and independent judgment
Operate independently under predetermined goals with certain level coach from National Sales Manager India
Strong data analysis, analytical and strategic thinking skills
Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Applicable technical expertise and experience working with and selling a technical product
Experience working with manufacturers representatives and distributors
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer, Data Management and Visual Management skills with most current software
Must have a bachelors degree in the physical sciences or engineering equivalent in Electrical/ Instrumentation/Electronics
Frequently required to travel by air and car up to 60 PERCENT , extended hours are normal to achieve business targets
Clean driving license

Continuous need to communicate thoughts clearly both in writing and verbally Frequently required to analyze, diagnose problems or issues, evaluate technical problems, negotiate, plan for short range, prioritize, and remember short term information Need to be able to advise/coach, coordinate, debate/convince others, evaluate functional performance, organize, strategic plan, and use sound judgment Must be positive, cheerful and capable of acting independently with little oversight Requires mathematics calculation skills for quotations, decision making skills for negotiations, time management skills, high ethical standards, honesty, trustworthiness and integrity Ability to handle stress, get along and communicate with others, follow written and/or oral instructions
