Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY

Working in the Production area (in the floor and in the suite) the Supervisor communicates and directs the activities of employees in an effective manner Schedules labor for filling and packaging areas Addresses deviation to processing problems in the filling and packaging areas Assures equipment maintenance, both corrective and preventive is conducted in a timely manner in filling and packaging areas Assures CGMP compliance, meets area performance measures, schedules equipment time, reviews and assists in validations and promotes employee training Responds to safety related items and assures corrective actions are taken when necessary

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs several production cost centers, supervising production personnel in the manufacture and packaging of products

Responsibilities to include

Quality and Safety

Responds with independence to in-process quality questions

Assurance of CGMP compliance

Supervision of inspection, reconciliation or dispensing and receivals of components

Assures standard operating procedures are updated and adhered to

Responds to in-process quality issues, assures corrective actions are taken when necessary

Performing equipment and product validations and modifications on assigned equipment

Schedule required validations for assigned area

Ensure any APA/PAA colleagues entering area operate to required standards and have the required qualification to be present
Provide SME knowledge on aseptic behavior and techniques
Coach operators on day to day activities by providing real-time positive reinforcement and correcting behaviors and techniques
Ensure clean rooms and equipment are well maintained (eg Gemba Walks/walking around)
Work in partnership with Coaches to review the results of observations on aseptic behaviors and techniques, analyses the trending and assist coaches in developing action plans and follow-up actions from the observation
Review and discuss observation program (planning, scheduling, area, critical steps)
Assist with the conduct of investigations in the classified areas (M1, PHP prevention) as close as possible to the problem
Review the log books (eg sanitization, EM)
Perform observations on aseptic behaviors and techniques if required

Responds to safety related items and assures corrective actions are taken when necessary

Supply/Cost

Establishing line operating budget and tracking performance through computation of labor efficiencies and material utilization
Interacts with Materials Management to insure the production schedule optimizes the labor available to complete the required product demands in a cost efficient manner

People management

Supervise employees in the filling, packaging and support areas and maintain operational discipline while maintaining a positive employee work relationship
Promote and support employee team effectiveness by training, facilitating, and acting as a resource
Work with operators to set appropriate goals, objectives and metrics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a college degree preferably in engineering or business or equivalent work experience to possess the ability to direct technical/mechanical operations and people
Requires strong interpersonal skills, solid skills in mathematics, communications, organization and business management
Requires solid skills in communication and mathematics
