Purpose

Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for an Analyst, Senior Business Systems to support and deliver strategic initiatives supporting the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) This individual should be highly motivated with excellent analysis and execution skills In this position, team work and networking with business partners and cross-functional IT team members is a necessary skill The individual should enjoy working in a fast pace, high visibility and impact environment

Key Responsibilities

Strong functional knowledge of Procurement Processes and understanding on how Ariba integrates with SAP ECC
Evaluate change requests for feasibility, and adherence to global design Focus on resolution tracking and problem escalation
Provides System Administrative support including managing groups, roles, permissions, etc
Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants and other governmental organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of case management systems to ensure optimal operational performance Will assist with configuration, integration, maintenance, and support of an established global design
Should be able Support ARIBA project work stream activities, working with internal and external cross-functional groups Acts as a liaison between each region (NA, EMEA, APAC, LATAM) Procurement Ops teams, IT Technical team and others as needed on Ariba
Adhere to project plans, tasks, and deliverables; identifies dependencies and resource requirements
Appropriately communicates project status, escalates issues, and manages timelines and action items
May lead or assist in testing and implementation of business applications
Identifies opportunities for improvement that will best meet with customer and company requirements
Assures quality of business systems by developing and executing test specifications, and implementing test and quality plans, while working with quality assurance analysts to improve IT quality processes
Creates and provides quality training material for user assistance and system usage
Works closely with the development team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution is delivered according to the specifications and implementation needs of the business
Interface/Integration experience
Basic Knowledge of SAP R/3 (Procurement)
Background in deployment and roll-out of ARIBA systems and solutions is a plus
Strong process background Standards/Governance/System Change Management

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field plus 9 years of relevant business process and system analysis experience
Speaks fluent English Ability and willingness to support alternate work hours to support APAC and EMEA)
Demonstrated problem solving skills, solving complex problems, demonstrating sound business judgement and applying clear decision making Experienced in working with developers to provide business solutions
Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Medical device, life sciences industry background preferred
Experience in a regulated environment
Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies
Experience partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects, including working with off-shore and geographically dispersed teams
Experienced in trouble shooting system & data issues
Proven experience in translating data into actionable business insight
Project management experience
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Some Travel required
Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic
Exceptional organizational & time management skills
Agile SAP implementations a plus
