Job Description:



- As a Software Support Manager, you will be responsible for understanding and learning the Product domain and Software and hence build a software support team

- You are required to lead the software support team for multiple products and utilize your experience to mentor team members on technical gaps and build technical capability within the team

- As a Software support manager, you need to interface with multiple stakeholders each with different disciplines and work in a matrix organization

Key Responsibilities

- 10 years of experience in managing SW technical support team in complex systems, as Tier 3

- Proven experience in learning and understanding multi-disciplinary, large scale systems

- Expected to be proficient in complex systems troubleshooting and provide technical mentor-ship/manage 5-10 members team

- Experience in Customer Issue Management and software release cycle

- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

- Expected to be good at problem-solving and debugging

- Willingness to work off hours and weekends

- Will require to effectively work in a multi-site environment, with teams across time zones,

- Team player with fantastic communication and collaboration skills

- Excellent English - verbal and written

- Willingness to travel up to 40%

- He/She should be aware of the software development Life cycle and exposure to Agile development methodologies

- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments and support team members to deliver on expectations

- Lead teams to support organizational initiatives and generic issues

- Involve in hiring and building a Taskforce for the team

- As a project lead own the planning and tracking of deliverables

- Ready to work in a Techno-managerial role with significant technical contribution from Manager

Qualification and Requirements

- Bachelors Degree / Master degree in Engineering with CE /EE background and 10+ years of experience

- Minimum of 6-year experience in software support domain with exposures to Customer Issue Management, SW support, continuous integration releases

- Minimum 5-6 year experience in Project leadership and handling teams of 10-15 members

- Minimum 3 yrs experience in People management

- Understanding of Java / C++ technologies

- Strong experience of working in global teams and handling multiple stakeholders

- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tool chain

- Business Expertise Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

- Impact Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policies
