Function Overview

Citi technology are seeking a highly motivated front office IT professional to join our Production Services team support group in India

The Finance Support team is responsible for the production environment for a wide range of applications ranging from PNL consolidation to FX delivery, providing application support to our Citi business users

Role/Position Overview

We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who will provide front line support to Finance Product Control businesses We work in partnership with the business running the application production platform, providing quick resolutions to their issues, drive stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed

The role will entail hands-on investigation and issue resolution, incident management and being passionate about taking part in initiatives to improve the production platform

You will develop detailed knowledge of Finance business processes

You will be working closely with your counterparts globally in a follow-the-sun global model, along with application developers and business analysts in the projects team

Key Responsibilities

Ability to handle incidents, problems and change at a global enterprise level Calm and analytical when faced with major incidents on critical systems / organize the Support team to effectively communicate to the business

Champion stability initiatives to enable application high availability for Business-As-Usual, which includes better monitoring, failover and resiliency

Performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution

Communicate effectively with operations and technology partners on a regional or global basis

Primary point of contact for system support; coping with day-to-day issues that may arise

Build relationship with UAT/DEV teams to involve Support in the release cycle to stabilize the Production environment

Undertake both individual assignments and participate in team collaboration activities

Understanding the business flow and ability to link it with processes running in system

Coordinating with counterparts and ensuring smooth handover of shifts

Taking part in DR activities and completing them end to end

Ensuring complete information flow within teams and avoiding any knowledge bottlenecks

Documenting and maintaining knowledge bank for known issues to assist L1 team

Flexible with working hours when required

Able to prioritize and resolve/allocate issues within team and get them resolved

Knowledge/Experience

8 years of experience in Financial IT or banking Industry with 5 years of experience in handling Production Support

Hands on experience in Unix, Shell Script, SQL, PL SQL

Knowledge of Financial market and its products

Experience in Trading system will be an advantage

Basic knowledge of AB Initio

Have worked on scheduling tools like Autosys/Control M

Experience in ticketing tool like service now/JIRA

Knowledge of Equities and related parameters and their calculation is desirable

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Master degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline

ITIL certified would be preferable
