The Commercial Bank Technology organization is responsible for the end-to-end technology support of the JPMorgan Chase Commercial Bank, a $7 billion business serving more than 24,000 clients nationally, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions and not-for-profit entities, as well as nearly 35,000 real estate investors / owners

Application Support Associate will be a motivated and talented individual working in the Production Management (Operate) team in Wholesale Loan Technology area in Commercial Banking Technology This role will focus on Client Facing as well as Application Support function, expected to provide first and second level of support to users of our systems

Responsibilities

Manage stakeholder relationships with Application Development, Other technology teams or end-user clients on a day to day basis

Work with Application Development and other technology teams to establish, improve and measure application support involving modern development practices, such as Agile, Continuous Delivery and DevOps

Participate in Incident Management and Problem Management processes to resolve Production issues and root cause analysis, resolution, and reporting

Work on optimization efforts with Application Development team to improve system stability

Maintain a knowledge base of known defects, issues, process, techniques etc Update and manage problem tickets appropriately

Perform Deployments, Post-release testing after application upgrades and/or releases Perform desktop testing on disaster recovery environments

Provide first and second level of application support for Middle Office, Operations and Front Office teams which are located around the globe

Provide coverage which will require shift/rotation and might include weekend work to cover primarily India hours of operation Work day will vary depending on shift and could start at 7 AM IST if on early shift; or end at 830 PM IST for End of Day India Shift

Manage end-user client relationship on a day to day basis

Ability to maintain strong relationships with the local desktop support teams root cause analysis, resolution, and reporting

Be proficient and / or willing to learn server side process management and configuration

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business

Minimum 8 years of IT experience

Knowledge and experience in Web based applications / architecture (Certificates, IIS, Web Services)

Knowledge of GIT, BitBucket, Jenkins, SONAR, SPLUNK, Maven, AIM and Continuous Delivery tools

Knowledge of MS Windows OS and MS SQL Server

Knowledge of SQLs, UNIX, Oracle, J2EE will be beneficial and preferred

Familiarity with Control M and AutoSys job scheduler

Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment that includes a global focus

Ability to work directly with Application Development, Business and Operations teams

Effective skill and experience regarding system behavior and resolution

Proven ability as a member of a team to communicate technical and production-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff

Results oriented and highly flexible

Strong analysis, research, investigation and evaluation skills, with a structured approach to problem solving

Must possess the ability to quickly adapt to new systems

Advantageous

Knowledge of Excel, MS Access, VBA

Experience in a production application support role and/or financial industry support experience

Understanding of Credit Markets, Loans, Agency business, P&L Management, some risk management

Previous experience in Loan IQ (Finastra) product nice to have
