AP Client Team Senior Manager


Business Management & Operations


This role is both a strategic, thought partnership role and on-the-ground execution role that supports all aspects of the Client Team agenda, including Asia Pacific regional support of core topics Client Service (CS), Revenue Management, Investment Services (IS) and Seat at the Table (SATT)

This role plays an important role to ensure that the Asia Pacific region remains closely aligned with the global Client Team agenda This requires complex senior stakeholder management, including a close working relationship with the AP Client Team Chair, global Client Team members, AP Client Team members, and interactions with key stakeholders in Asia Pacific, such as the Regional Chair, APMT, OAs, CCOs and Finance

Support the AP Client Team to customise and execute all topics Day-to-day activities will be spread primarily across the following areas

Strategic agenda setting, thought partnership and change management

Be valued thought partner to the APCT chair to set the overall strategic agenda
Orchestrate and drive senior stakeholder engagement with global and regional leadership
Drive the change agenda and execution of all APCT initiatives in the region

Client Service (CS) Help execute global CS initiatives at the local level, including Relationship Excellence, Proposal Excellence, commercial pipeline engagement, CRM, OPPL engagement, and other initiatives that emerge
Capture and share best practices across the region
Help design CCO Forum and take lead in organising, developing materials, preparing facilitators and getting feedback
Develop and orchestrate all training and communications activities at the local level
Monitor and track progress

Revenue Management Help set pricing strategy and priorities in collaboration with AP Finance when necessary
Support AP Pricing Director facilitate value-based pricing analysis and approvals, develop materials and tools to support partners, help prepare for key meetings, develop monthly communications to partners and principals, and drive other pricing initiatives that emerge
Work closely with regional / local Finance teams and global pricing team
Help regional Finance continually evolve value-based pricing analysis and reporting

Investment Services (IS) Manage overall regional investment process with the global IS team
Refine AP investment principles as needed
Drive communication to create investment transparency for the partner group
Act as first line on investment opportunities (process, guidelines, expectations)
Monitor and track progress

SATT Support SATT in AP by working with systems and PAs to develop plans and execute key SATT initiatives
Identify and share best practices within AP
Monitor and track progress

Contribute and participate in other AP and global Client Team initiatives Contribute to content development of new concepts, guidelines, tools and programs to take AP and global topics to the next level
Support AP and global Client Team meetings and other stakeholder meetings (eg, APMT)


Technical and Functional Expertise

Core BCG consulting skill set including hypothesis-driven thinking, quantitative analysis, financial modeling, storyboarding, etc
Strong conceptual skills and the ability to package complex topics
Ability to be credible thought partner with senior BCG partners
Understanding of the BCG partnership and BCGs business
Ability to navigate across functions within BCG effectively

Communication, Interpersonal and Teaming Skills

Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
Proven ability to work closely and effecitvely with senior level partners in a collaborative manner
Self-starter and ability to work independently and in teams; displays consideration and respect for others and puts team success ahead of personal opinion

Proven ability to work successfully within a complex, matrix-structured organization spanning multiple cultures
Demonstrated ability to both work effectively in and lead a group of peers
Proven success in managing change in a global, complex, matrix organization

Superior organization and management skills
Ability to work independently in abscence of daily supervision, exercise sound judgement and can take the initiative

Ability to respect all BCG client/employee information as personal and confidential


Bachelors degree or equivalent in business or related field; MBA strongly preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience in management consulting role or other similar field
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an international environment with people at all organizational levels
Ability to influence at all levels of the organization; mature and credible
Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, global, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment
Strong project management experience
Strong skills in Windows Office (in particular, PowerPoint and Excel)
Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
