Job Description:

S/he will be responsible for working with the team on all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, financial book closure, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts monitoring, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures S/he will report into the CFO, working closely with the top management

Key responsibilities

- Manage general accounting activities such as F&A, periodic finalization, financial reporting and compliances, revenue assurances and business finance

- Manage direct & indirect taxation, audits and MIS; ensure that tax and regulatory payments, returns and filings are up to date and compliant

- Ensure timely book closure; monitor monthly operating results against budget; manage banking/cash flows of the company; and revenue assurances

- Maintenance of the books of accounts by regularly accounting and updating of expense bookings, depreciation and accruals; work for Business Finance

- Recommend best practices to make the Company- financial and operational processes of divisions and implement efficient and effective internal controls

- Prepare reports as required for Audit Committee, Executive Committee and Board meetings; Prepare quarterly consolidated accounts; Ensured compliance of financials with IAS/IFRS accounting standards

The Ideal candidate should have

- Work experience 6 - 10 years; preferably from Insurance Industry or regulated Financial Service organizations, or at a minimum having a service industry experience

- Degree in Accounting/ Finance & Professional Finance Qualification (CA/ ACCA or equivalent)

- Excellent communication & analytical skills and be motivated & hard working

- Experience of working in a start-up environment will be an added advantage

The candidate is expected to be a team player with experience in managing people and projects, a self-motivator with a pro-active attitude and with proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle/Tally/MS Office Applications

Ability to interact with stakeholders (internal and external) is essential
