Function Description

- The GSN organization delivers extraordinary customer care to Card Members, merchants and commercial clients around the world, while providing world-class credit, collections and fraud services The GSN team is the primary point of contact for all GSN information needs and is responsible for Executive Decision Support through advanced analytics and MIS

- The team has a global footprint and this position will be based out of the American Express Service Center in Gurgaon, India

Purpose of the Role

- The candidate partner closely with Value Generation Strategy team to provide extensive MI & Analytical support to Executive Leadership on Value Generation and Customer Demand

Responsibilities

- Provide analytical and decision support framework for Value Generation for US Market

- Monitor the daily, weekly and monthly production processes that source key data, build metrics etc

- Closely partner with the Performance Management team to create new metrics and perform performance analytics

- Support the VG Transformational Initiatives through insightful MIS & Analytics

- Systematically identify and address information gaps through insightful analytics and by developing lead indicators

- Effectively manage a dynamic team of highly skilled employees, addressing any onboarding, training, engagement and development requirements

- Build collaborative relationships across GSN groups and participate on global teams to support process and system improvements through effective use of data

- Put enterprise thinking first, connect the roles agenda to enterprise priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues & shareholders

- Test & Leverage new and emerging tools and capabilities

- Ensure timely and accurate MIS based on customer requirements

- Centrally manage MIS and key operational metrics and address functional data needs across operations and support team

- Provide analytical and decision support framework and address information gaps through insightful analytics and developing lead indicators

- Build collaborative relationships across GSN groups and participate on global teams evaluating processes and making suggestions for process and system improvements

- Lead and enable implementation of Big Data strategy for CFN MIS transformation and solutions, decentralizing data and creating automated reporting solutions

- Put enterprise thinking first, connect the roles agenda to enterprise priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues & shareholders

Qualifications

Past Experience

- Preferably a minimum 7 years experience with at least 4 years in Quantitative Business Analysis/Data Science with experience in handling large data set

Academic Background

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent, preferably in a quantitative field

- Post-graduate degree in a quantitative field will be an added advantage

Functional Skills/Capabilities

- Must possess strong quantitative and analytical Skills and be a conceptual and innovative thinker

- Project management skills and ability to identify and translate business information needs into insights and information cubes for ease of consumption in reporting and analytics

- Proven thought leadership, strong communication, relationship management skills

- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, flexibility and adaptability to work within tight deadlines and changing priorities

- Data presentation & visualization skills

Technical Skills/Capabilities

- Excellent programming skills on Hive/SAS/SQL/Teradata is essential with good understanding of Big Data ecosystems

- Exposure to Python/R/Statistical packages, familiarity with NLP, Neural Networks will be an added advantage

- Proven thought leadership, strong communication, relationship management skills

- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, flexibility and adaptability to work within tight deadlines and changing priorities

- Conceptual and creative thinker with extensive background and interest in quantitative business analytics

- Project management skills and ability to identify and translate business information needs into insights

- Post-graduate degree in a quantitative field will be an added advantage

Knowledge of Platforms Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint, Word, Access and Project
