Function Description

- As part of the RIM-CoE organization, the Global Credit & Collections team is responsible for managing credit policies for delinquent and written-off accounts for US and GNICS Consumer portfolio and developing the best-in-class collection strategies for both Its actions will directly impact business profitability through improved credit performance and collections results

- The incumbent will lead a team responsible for developing and deploying new credit actions for accounts in delinquency and credit collection process, hardship programs, Managing critical processes like i-collect strategy, re-age, deceased account takeover

- The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring on-going monitoring and improvement of credit and collections processes and policies

- The incumbent will evaluate credit and collections performance and identify opportunities to improve credit results

Qualifications

Past Experience

- Prior business/financial analysis experience in financial services, particularly card/payments industry

Academic Background

- Solid academic background from top tier institutions Strong analytical capability and ability to provide thought leadership to a talented team of people leaders and Analysts

- Ability to provide strong thought leadership on critical projects Frame the key issues and emerging hypotheses by leveraging a structured thinking approach

- Ability to understand data, synthesize into real-world meaning, break down business problems, and conduct brainstorming

Functional Skills/Capabilities

- Strong working knowledge of Amex risk systems, processes and data sources

Behavioral Skills/Capabilities

- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and work with multiple partners
