Advertising Specialist - 829469

The Advertising Specialist will work as part of the US and Americas Advertising team on the development and delivery of advertising assets, including print, digital, and video assets, and will own and work with Partner Marketing groups on specific elements of marketing campaign initiatives

What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Advertising Specialist

Advertising Campaign Development

Work directly with marketing partners to determine advertising strategy for each line of business (college savings, retirement market, etc)

Conduct research to inform strategy briefs on competitors, fund performance, audience demographics, etc

Develop strategy brief for each campaign, presenting to our media/creative agencies or internal partners

Partner with the media planning team/agency to determine best ways to reach target audience for a given campaign

Work with creative teams to create new ad concepts, owning the review, routing, and approval processes (includes print, digital, video, social, etc)

Occasional copywriting for text-based ads (native, paid search, social, etc)

Partner with web team to develop or refine landing pages that encourage specific user action(s) from our digital ads

Traffic final ads to publishers, ensuring on-time delivery against media plan

Advertising Campaign Management

Once launched, continuously monitor campaign performance including engagement metrics and business results

Implement creative tests to isolate performance factors and improve future results

Report findings to media and creative teams, optimizing advertising concepts and media placements mid campaign

Deliver campaign reports to management on monthly basis

Knowledge and Expertise

Proactively stay informed of the competitive (Ex creative and media) landscape to better inform briefing and development of advertising campaigns

Proactively stay informed on the latest advertising trends and technological advancements to suggest cutting edge solutions for client needs

What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful

Bachelors degree, with preferred concentration in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business/Finance
5 years of experience in marketing or advertising (agency or client-side)
Experience in the financial industry Knowledge of asset management in specific strongly preferred
Understanding of advertising, design and production processes with the ability to evaluate creative concepts that will drive effective marketing campaigns
Experience with campaign planning and ability to develop measurements and metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness
Strong communication skills
Ability to establish and build close partnerships with colleagues and external partners
Strong project management / coordination skills, able to manage complex campaign schedules
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team environment and work under pressure
Ability to solve routine department problems or vendor issues with little direction
