Job Description:

In this role, you will manage critical Advanced Supplier Quality for EFI Inkjet in the Innovation/New Product Development processes through launch You will be responsible for developing supplier qualification requirements for new products, performance evaluation, supplier development and monitoring supplier quality levels You serve as liaison between suppliers, our NPD program teams and operations to ensure our supplier partners can meet our quality expectations during development, at launch and over the production/service life

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Lead supplier New Product Development responsibilities within the Innovation & NPD Quality Assurance Department through the development of action plans and milestones to support various programs
Serve as first point of contact for supplier quality assurance with the suppliers during NPD through launch
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers while taking personal responsibility and accountability for ensuring product meets the product/business needs
Liaise / visit with the supplier on a regular basis to track completion of tasks and Advance Product Quality items Eg Tool timing, builds, PFMEA, Control Plan, Gauges, IMDS etc

Verification of customers specification and review supplier PFMEA, control plans, and in-process critical quality control documents
Verify fixtures and gauges, CPK, DOE, and Gauge R&R in addition to developing related inspection processes and tools
Participate in new model activities and events for quality verification and validation
Report any issues / risks to the Simultaneous Development Team / Program Manager
Review Supplier documentation and processes for completeness and quality Checking dimensional reports vs drawing requirements
Visit suppliers for Process Sign off events based on criticalness of the part
Maintain and regularly update the Supplier Advanced Quality status tracking
Ensure root causes of supplier quality issues are identified and timely & effective containment and corrective action is identified and implemented
Execute supplier improvement plans utilizing industry standard improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, etc)
Develop new product supplier quality qualification requirements
Perform supplier selection quality assessments

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in Quality, Engineering, or Science related field with 5-7 years of related progressive manufacturing quality work experience
Previous successful experience managing and working with suppliers from around the world
Strong interpersonal skills working with internal customers and external suppliers
Ability to communicate complex topics in cross-functional as well as cross-cultural environments
Experience successfully managing suppliers relative to in advanced quality planning including strong proficiency with the Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plan, FMEAs, First Article Document and Testing Approval, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) standards
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including experience leading teams and preparing & presenting problem solving documents
Previous experience in performing supplier audit / qualifications
Ability to work autonomously and complete projects with little to no direct supervision
Proficient in use of a computer and common office software (ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, & Access)
Able to travel domestically and abroad o up to 75-80 PERCENT of time based on issues or status of projects


GD&T proficiency (Highly)
Previous experience with digital printing
Certification as a Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality Engineer (Highly)
Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing methods (Highly)
Black Belt or Six Sigma
Foreign language capability especially Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, or Hebrew
