Job Summary

The Fluids Advanced Quality Engineering role is responsible to lead New Product Quality Planning activities that result in world class quality and reliability for our ARO Fluids products globally ARO is a leading brand of Fluids Solutions including Diaphragm Pumps, Piston Pumps, Fluid Power Products, parts and accessories

This role leads New Product Quality planning work, leveraging the IR Product Development Process Quality Module, including Advanced Product Quality Planning, DFMEA, PFMEA, Supplied part quality plans, PPAP, to assure we introduce products that achieve world class quality and reliability standards to fully support the Ingersoll Rand Brand promise

The Fluids Advanced Quality Engineer will monitor customer performance in the field, assure triage and assignment of corrective actions for any field problems The role will drive creation of the overall Global Quality Feedback to the rest of the ARO business for their product segment They will help set goals and monitor performance to those goals

This role will take on projects that help drive quality improvement and support our plant and supplier performance These projects might be enhancing our overall quality management system, or driving down into one particular, priority product or process area to drive step wise improvement This role is part of the Fluids Global Quality leadership staff and will be asked to help influence, and develop the overall quality strategy for Fluids

Responsibilities

Advanced Quality planning activities for the ARO Fluids Business new products
Monitor, analyze, report out on and drive improvement of our Customer Quality, Reliability, customer service performance in their business area
Participate in developing the overall quality strategy, and play a leadership role on a sub team, or driving the Quality Management System work SBU wide

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in quality, mechanical, electrical, industrial or other equivalent engineering discipline
7-10 years of Quality Experience across plants or business units
Evidence of knowledge of the Quality Sciences -APQP, Problem solving, sampling, statistical analysis, root cause analysis, PDCA
Some previous leadership experience in management, supervision or project/program leadership
Demonstrated experience in influence business direction
Proven lean experience,
Several years of plant experience in Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, or Procurement
Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Power Point, Word
ASQ quality certification - CQT, CQE, CQM, CRE a plus
Masters in Engineering or MBA a plus
Six sigma greenbelt, black belt, or lean certification a plus
