Primary Purpose of the role

Responsible for providing support for Brewerys financial requirements, financial discipline and maintaining budgetary and internal controls in line with SOPs Also responsible for tracking business performance, ensuring compliance and Cost Centre-wise alignment of all financial transactions

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

1 Budget & Planning

a Assist the manager in preparation of Budget function wise considering all aspects and needs of the brewery and all functions in terms of BoM, Utilities & conversion charges

b Plan the availability of funds for duty payments and other payments on time

2 Financial Functions

a Ensure maintenance of proper and accurate books of accounts of the unit in accordance with Companys standard practice & timely and accurate month closure

b Implementation of financial terms and conditions of contractual agreements

c Monitor and highlight variances against budgets/standards

d Provide assistance to the Manager in ensuring timely and accurate preparation of Monthly Reports (Profitability statements, TB analysis, month end schedules etc)

e Ensure all basic internal controls are in place in the unit pertaining to all financial transactions

f Assist the Manager in implementation of Delegation of Authority (DAG) and all published company policies having financial/ commercial implications

g Think out of box and initiate Cost Savings

h Ensure optimum income from Scrap generation & proper reconciliation of relevant GLs

i Support Operations on commercials issues

3 Compliances and Audits

a Ensure compliance on various accounting/ financial/ commercial matters, eg statutory, banks, taxation authorities, vendors, customers etc

b Provide assistance wrt clean Audit - Statutory audit, Tax Audit and other Govt Audits

c Issue/collect all statutory forms and ensure no tax liability and timely assessments

d Timely filing of all TDS/TCS/GST returns

4 Other Functions

a Act as a Local Subject Matter Experts (SME) of entire region for all Finance and Control activities

b Study financial viability and credit worthiness of the customers for Scrap and other such items and finalize the one who can offer the best rate for the company along with adhering to the company norms

c Ensure regular Follow up for liquidation of slow

d To provide support for IT Functions of Breweries

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

Education & Experience

1 MBA / Post Graduation in commerce / Semi-qualified CA or CMA with 3-4 years- experience in manufacturing set up (Alco Bev industry would an added advantage)

Skills & Knowledge

1 Accounting, Month closure, Inventory management, ERP/SAP exposure etc

2 Should possess good MS Office advanced skills
