Primary Purpose of Role

- Responsible for achieving sales, profit and market share targets through improved sales force effectiveness, capitalization of new opportunities and providing effective support for implementation of marketing activities Also responsible for managing key trade customers, identifying market development opportunities and drive revenue growth

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

1) Selling and Forecasting

- Build regional level promotional plans with consumers to ensure AB InBev has the strongest promotional participation across categories & outperforms the competition across all key commercial metrics

- Delivery of specific brand distribution and Innovation targets across the consumer and distribution point of contacts

- Plan and forecast sales and market share targets for the defined region on an annual, 3 month rolling and monthly basis

- Develop and manage various schemes effectively to achieve sales and market share targets, ensure timely settlement of schemes and adherence to scheme budgets

2) Resources and Budget Management

- Ensure market coverage as per norms by TSE/HE Specialists and also work in the market as per coverage norms

- Responsible for planning any companys asset allocation such as GSBs, Chillers, etc and ensure the assets are in place as per approved plan

- Develop and maximize utilization of the sales operations budget including monitoring trade spends, travel expenses, scheme spends, etc

3) Stakeholder Management

- Manage the operational relationship with key contacts within the states handled

- Implement the joint customer business plan that not only ensures we deliver our key commercial metrics, but at the same time is focused around our retailers and consumers

- Develop and execute effective outlet execution along with the Trade Marketing team

- Responsible for managing key regulatory issues and establishing strong connect with local government and other stakeholders which can be leveraged in managing regulatory environment

4) Sales Processes

- Drive Sales technology to capture and review on a regular basis, identify opportunities and develop sustainable competitive sales strategy for the states handled

- Develop and execute targeted sales drives alongside partner wholesale salesforce in line with ABI Growth Strategy

5) Market Expansion

- Develop new markets to achieve growth and penetration targets

Key Interaction -

I) Internal

- Sales Analyst/Sales Team/PPM

- Seek data on sales trends, industry trends, competitors

- Drive the Sales Excellence Program across the region and build the culture of leading sales in the ABI way

- Marketing / Commercial integration

- Capture and effective execution of Brand strategies in the region

- Plan and forecast sales and market growth targets and opportunities for the region

- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans for the region

- Supply & Planning

- To ensure reporting of timely information of products reaches the team based out of the breweries;

- Actively drive S&OP

- Communicate monthly and 3 monthly sales plan and follow-up for timely delivery of goods

- Legal Team

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and consult legal team in case of any deviances

- For contracts Management

- Managing consumer/customer complaints handling

- Finance Team

- Seek Credit & Collections policy guidelines, data on budget and variance, support on determining financial feasibility/impact of schemes and other sales related initiatives

- Seek appropriate decision support inputs for enhanced market response

- Ensuring adherence to financial discipline/DAG/Discount slabs in the sales team

- People Team

- Seek support on people related issues like recruitment, development, talent management, etc

- Drive/Increase engagement in the Sales team with the help of Regional People Partner

II) External

- Trade

- Interact with major CFAs to track market movement of stocks and resolve any critical or chronic issues

- Implement trade schemes and promotion programs

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes -

Education & Experience

- Graduation with 5- 7 years experience (3 years in a management position)

- Ideal - Post Graduation (MBA in Sales and Marketing from Good B-School) with 5 - 7 years experience (3 years in management position)

- Superior knowledge and familiarity of market, customers and information channels

Skills & Knowledge

- High drive for results,

- Analytical mind, especially on finance and sales analysis

- Excellent strategic thinking and planning ability

- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

- Provide coaching and training to the team to deliver better business results
