Key Tasks & Accountabilities

1 Manpower planning for the unit based on the projected volumes & units requirements - manpower forecasting as well as manpower rationalization (if required), secondary manpower planning etc

2 Preparing and managing budgets for the department including manpower and administrative costs, and support services

3 Drive and coordinate leave planning for the workmen along with the department heads

4 Driving the right culture in the organization in line with company vision, mission, and values

5 Conducting awareness and culture building training along with the relevant experts in coordination with L & D and Unit Head

6 Promoting team working and team building culture at the unit

7 Supporting the Unit Head in identifying and building the right behavior, through personal interactions, training, workshops etc

8 Recruiting for the vacancies at the unit level in coordination with the Consultant/corporate office TA Team

9 Interacting with the Departmental Heads to decide on issues related to improved work procedures, improving efficiencies through interdepartmental transfers, counseling etc

10 Ensuring amenable Union - Management relation exist so as to make sure that plant operates smoothly & no man-days are lost due to industrial unrest

11 Negotiating with the unions (for Wage Agreements/Incentive etc) as & when required & proceed on the terms after discussions

12 Liaison with the various statutory bodies like ALCs office, Factory Inspectors Office that affect the day to day functioning of the unit

13 Negotiating with the union & its representatives on any impending issues & make them understand the managements viewpoints

14 Preparation of reports/MIS, routine roundup of the departmental performance & seeking functional inputs as & when required

16 Interactions with the departmental heads regarding the manpower related issues that include discipline, absenteeism, OT etc

16 Ensure grievance handling procedures & Domestic inquiries are being conducted

17 Ensuring that all the employees are getting all the benefits of the workers Benefit Schemes and facilities are at optimum levels of basic budgets

18 Facilitate communication through management of Notice Boards in departments/ other conspicuous places

19 Initiating community development in the surrounding area to build better relationships with the community around and enhance the image of the company along with Corporate Affairs department

Required Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

Education & Experience

1 MSW/ MBA in Human Resources

2 4-8 years of relevant experience

Skills & Knowledge

1 Strong IR knowledge

2 Exceptional Organizational & Time Management Skill

3 Ability to lead and inspire teams

4 Good commercial acumen

5 High level of communication and interpersonal skills

6 Ability to build effective relationships
